My Thoughts:
Blood Myth is an intense and thrilling paranormal romance that will leave you breathless for more. The story and stage are set, a timeless battle between good and evil, parent and child, with free will the final arbiter of fate. The characters are rich and passionate, carrying you along with them through the setting of the stage into the first meeting of the hero and heroine of our tale.

Zak is a cocky, arrogant male with a violent past whose domineering attitude makes you hate him and shiver in delight at the same time. His need for control and domination to tame his darker nature extends into his interactions with those around him, especially those who shared his bed. Sorina is a fiery, independent woman of the world with a powerful destiny and the voice of an angel who fears the very thing she yearns for, the domination of a soul-consuming passionate love.

Born to opposite sides of the conflict; they are thrown together quite literally by the whims of fate. Zak unable to find the same satisfaction and release in domination he once did in would rather face death than become like the evil monster that spawned him. Sorina’s voice seeps into his very heart and soul, both rousing and soothing the beast inside him. Sorina, independent and feisty isn’t impressed with Zak’s overbearing attitude but is attracted to and intrigued by him nonetheless.

While fearing his darker need for control and domination but deep down wanting to submit, Sorina finds herself drawn to Zak falling deeper under his spell. Zak despite his need for control over and desire for Sorina’s submission to him finds delight in her spirit and independence. When his father’s evil envelops them, taking her twin, then herself captive, their all-consuming, passionate love for each other lends strength and purpose to their fight to triumph over evil. I loved the fire and intense passion between these two characters, that essence of love as an all dominating force not to be feared but embraced. I can’t wait to see what the next book has in store for Zak and Sorina, as well as the rest of the cast of vivid, memorable characters.

Summary from Goodreads:
Zakah Sange was born into a world of dark magick, always living in the shadows of his father, the Raka King. He was dangerously sexy and enigmatic; he used power and control to shape himself into a hard and cunning man. Zakah became a warrior, a weapon and the master of his own violence lurking within.

Sorina Ruzicka was the great granddaughter of the evil god Akhekh. She was born into a legacy of magickal gifts that she wanted no part of. After years touring as a blues singer she returned home where she only wanted the seclusion of the mountains. A chance meeting with the mysterious club owner forced Sorina into the battle of her life.

Can a willful witch, accept the controlling nature of a demon who demands submission? Trusts will be tested, lines will be crossed and a fate neither of them expected will be played out.
