 Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would write erotica! It literally happened right out of the blue. As I think back, it may have all started last year after reading 50 Shades of Grey by EL James. Reading her book shocked me at first. But as I progressed through her stories I must have become intrigued because the next thing I knew, I was exploring other erotic stories. After reading more than a handful of books by other erotica writers, I found myself getting a bit weary of them because the storylines seemed to be very similar. I was craving more but couldn't find what I was searching for. 

One day I was out walking my dog and a storyline hit me! I was playing it through my head and couldn't wait to get back home so I could sit down at the computer and write it all down. The next thing I knew, my very first story – UNEXPECTED STRANGER – was born. With encouragement from some friends who read it, I decided to tackle a second story. Next thing I knew, I had written ten stories and I was being offered a publishing contract!! 

 My goal is to incorporate interesting people into interesting places. I am very fortunate to be well traveled, so I can refer to places like San Francisco and Hong Kong because I've been there. I am currently working on a new story that takes place in New England. In many stories that I've read, the authors have the female character professionally and financially subservient to the male character. In my stories, the women are on equal footing with the men. As my storylines continue to broaden, I also have the women take charge sexually from time to time. So many stories focus on the male being the dominant. But how much more exciting it would be if we let the female take the lead!! I’m sure the male characters love it! 

 The most humorous part of writing erotica is having my friends wonder how much of the stories are fiction or non-fiction regarding my sex life! Of course I tease them and tell them they’ll just have to guess. Those secrets stay with me! It’s true that I've taken some language and sexual scenarios from real life experiences. But then I engage my imagination and kick it up a notch! 

 I hope you enjoy ESCAPE. My second book, LONGING is currently underway and should be completed by early spring 2013.

Excerpt:

It was Friday night around ten o’clock, she guessed. She wasn’t really sure, because the only thing that had her complete attention at that moment were dark brown handsome eyes boring into her with such an intensity that she couldn’t look away. She was mesmerized. The night started out innocently enough. She and her girlfriend had come to MacAllister’s bar to celebrate her girlfriend’s birthday. The next thing she knew, her friend on the barstool to her right was laughing with a group of co-workers who had shown up unexpectedly. And on the barstool to her left, sat this drop dead gorgeous man with deep set eyes, thick dark eyebrows and a sexy hint of stubble. His presence was drowning out everything else going on around her.

She couldn’t quite say when he sat down. And she couldn’t quite recall how the conversation had started. But in less than an hour, she was fantasizing about what this stranger would taste like. What he’d feel like. Even though she tried with every part of her rational being to put it out of her mind, she couldn’t help wondering what it would feel like to have his hands touching her and caressing her. And she longed to feel the heat of his lips exploring every inch of her body.
