The Good:

* Inhale is one of the most creative books I have had the pleasure of experiencing in quite some time. Kendall Grey has created a universe full of Sentinels, Wyldlings, and Elementals. Don't worry - if these terms mean nothing to you now - Grey will explain them as you go along. She also does a nice job of meshing the fantasy elements in with the reality components.

* Inhale is well written. This is not one of those Indie books that is littered with typos and bad grammar. It has been well edited and Grey's writing is hilarious and strong. Her use of language is highly entertaining. I enjoyed this one so much that I flew through the story in a weekend.

* The characters are FAB! I loved Zoe and Gavin, but even the supporting characters stand out. To top that all off, the villainess is uber hot as well. You're not sure whether you want to love her or hate her.

* Her characters don't mince words. I love characters that tell it like it is and don't hesitate to speak their minds.

* The whale aspect seemed a bit odd to me when I first read the description of this one, but I really liked seeing the magic and science mix together. I wanted to be a marine biologist as a kid so getting on board with this element didn't take too long. Its obvious that the characters (and the author) are very passionate about whales and their protection.

* The book is set in Australia so you get to learn a lot about the culture and society. I have always wanted to visit Australia. Buying this book was certainly cheaper than a plane ticket would have been.

* The price! At $2.99 for an eBook, how could you not get this?!?! AND all money goes to support whale education and research. Do something good for the environment and get a great read. It's a win/win.

The Bad:

* My only complaint with this one is the beginning. As Grey is setting up her world, she doesn't explain some things in enough depth. I found myself wanting to skip over any of the parts in the Dream realm dealing with the Sentinels and Wyldlings at first. I preferred the portions of the novel that took place in the real world. However, when the first Dream realm sex scene hits, I wasn't so keen to skip those parts anymore.

The Naughty:

* HOT HOT HOT - Whew, you might want to keep a glass of wine and a fan nearby.

* Those Fyre Elementals sure know how to make my Kindle steam up and Gavin isn't too shabby either.

Overall Verdict:

Strangers in reality, inseparable in dreams…

After years of suffocating under her boss’s scrutiny, whale biologist Zoe Morgan finally lands a job as director of a tagging project in Hervey Bay, Australia. Success Down Under all but guarantees her the promotion of a lifetime, and Zoe won’t let anything—or anyone—stand in her way. Not the whale voices she suddenly hears in her head, not the ex who won’t take no for an answer, and especially not the gorgeous figment of her imagination who keeps saving her from the fiery hell of her dreams.

Gavin Cassidy hasn’t been called to help a human Wyldling in over a year, which is fine by him. Still blaming himself for the death of his partner, he keeps the guilt at bay by indulging in every excess his rock star persona affords. That is, until he’s summoned to protect Zoe from hungry Fyre Elementals and learns his new charge is the key to restoring order in the dying Dreaming. He never expects to fall for the feisty Dr. Morgan…nor does he realize he may have to sacrifice the woman he loves to save an entire country.

*This book contains graphic language, sex, and some violence. Not suitable for readers under the age of 18.

**The author will donate all profits from the sale of the JUST BREATHE trilogy to programs that educate people about whales and the challenges they face.
