THE RUNDOWN: The one man he can't forget is the one whose memories could destroy them all.

After the one man he trusted disappeared, it took Law Connor ten years to take a chance on another relationship. Trouble is, right about the time he's finally ready to let go of the past, the past stages a hostile takeover.

Back when they were teens, Styx was the boy with no memory. He and Law had each other's backs until he was forced to leave to keep Law safe. Now a CIA agent, he's finally discovered who he is, and why he's a hunted man.

Detective Paulo McMannus has almost succeeded in helping Law forget his lost love when Styx comes plowing back into their lives. No way is Paulo giving up his lover without a fight.

Suddenly Law finds himself on the run with Styx, the man who can still bring him to his knees...and with Paulo, the man who brought him back to life. The worst part? He can't choose between them. And it's getting harder to remember why he should.

WHAT WENT DOWN:

In the world of romance novels, threesomes are always a tricky thing to write. But Jakes manages it quite nicely, even with the fact that it was with three men.

Like the series opener, Bound By Honor, this book has its moments where it lags and others where it seems too rushed. But overall, it's a great story and something different for the average reader.

Law and Styx's complex relationship, touched on in the previous book, was written out very nicely, as was the romance between Law and his new love interest Paulo. The two antagonists of the story are: Styx's bigoted, sociopathic father and the reluctance of the males to truly say what they really want. The latter could get exasperating, but that's what happens when one is invested in the characters. And by the middle, I was rooting for all of them to just admit their feelings already!

I am pleased to admit that Jakes totally took me by surprise at the end of the story where Styx's father was finally caught. It was a great tie in with the first book and I was happy to see that the couple from the previous installment was still going strong.

Jakes concluded the story cleanly, definitely meeting this reader's expectation.

THE "DOWN LOW":

What's better than two hot, incredibly sexy men physically expressing their appreciation for one another? That's right; THREE hot and sexy men gettin' down and dirrrrrrrty!!!

These men could not keep their hands off each other, even when faced with life-threatening situations on an almost daily basis. Hell, the men even made that all the more reason to be together; any and all could die at any moment!

Well played, Jakes. Well played.

To end, here is my favorite quote from the book: "If that bed could talk…holy shit." ~S.E. Jakes
