The Good:

* Tag Team is a free read for your Kindle or Nook.

* Nicola Marsh is actually a talented writer. You never know what to expect with free reads, but she definitely kept me interested. Her writing was polished and wasn't littered with typos. I would read more of her stuff.

* The plot for Tag Team was intriguing. It revolves around two government agents who are working on tracking down a group bent on launching chemical warfare. As the two agents discuss the imminent threat, the criminals break into the building and start taking hostages. What began as a simple work related conversation soon spirals into a scary situation.

* This novella is a juicy little morsel that is perfect for devouring when you need just a little spice and don't have the time to read a novel.

The Bad:

* The two main characters, Fox and Lee, have a sexual history, but appear to pretty much loathe one another in this little segment. They go from annoying banter to sex in a matter of minutes in the middle of a crisis situation. Sure, death looming on your very near horizon might make you do stupid things, but having sex in a safe room with five minutes until a bomb blows you to smithereens is a bit much - even for me.

* Fox was an ass. I didn't find him appealing at all. I was actually somewhat frustrated that Lee succumbed to his charms. The man seriously lacked some game. However, I will give credit where credit is due - he at least delivered in Lee's time of need.

The Naughty:

* Its fast and dirty. There isn't a ton you can do in a span of five minutes with a bomb about to explode after all. It was interesting and quite responsible that Fox took the time to practice safe sex even when he was convinced he was about to die. Sex ed teachers everywhere are rejoicing.

Overall Verdict:

A Victorian Police Special Ops team leader joins forces with an Australian Defence Force Tactical Assault Group expert who specializes in biological warfare to stop an imminent chemical threat.

When the threat becomes personal and the body count mounts, they find themselves locked in a safe room, where they discover their sizzling history takes little to ignite.
